One year ago

YES it was just exactly one year ago when I was elected LCP in my LC, what I remember the most that day was the procedure, it was hard really cause my LC had a really bad situation in 2005, no results, no exchange, no motivation, we arrived to one point whenre if we continue like that MC was going to close our office...

It was really difficult to start, It was like to rebuilt everything, but thanks God I had a great EB who helped me and supported me any time, how forget Gina (current LCP now), Michael (finances), Hector (TM), Carlos (projects), Diana (X), Alejandro (IS), Debbie (ER) and Pamela (ER), thanks for all your support, now we have really separate lives...

My greats LCPs friends Patricio, Juan Andres, Anita and Jaime, we were red bull tema uhhhhhhh really great time...thanks for the meetings and when we fighted with MC hehehe and got what we wanted...

So, finally as results we really increased number of members, exhanges (18) never before in my LC, financial situation really good and in the global ranking 75 in all LCs around the world, and for that we got the national leadership award in Ecuador, I consider is not my award, it is my members word...

Miss all my great EB, I wish you the best...

Graduation Time

After Christmas in Tamarindo, that night was Franchesca (former MCP and my best friend) & Cristina (former MCVP TM)´s birthday, my God......we arrived to the University at 6 pm and the mass started at 6pm, I was with no formal clothes, I asked Gina, my succesor, means LCP in my LC what to do....

She said Jorge dont go home if Franchesca doesnt see you here, she wont talk to you any more, you are her best friend...shittttttttttttttttt....

Imagine, I entered with my AIESEC t-shirt to the church but what a surprise??? franchesca was not there, just Cristina...she never arrived heheheeh....the mass ended, we saw Cristina and nobody knew about her, even her mum (she is russian)...

Then we go to ceremony, we still waiting for her...Gina called her, she said she was on the way..until now really I dont understand what it means, to be on the way...cause some minutes later we were still waiting...

I became more annoying when the ceremony started and she was not there, my god, I didnt do what to do, so I went to talk with some people to say stupids things and said please dont start my girlfriend is not here yet....

Anyway, imagine, me with my AIESEC t-shirt, they didnt pay attention and they started....then I went to Gina and said I cant do more hehehehe...the graduation was already started and Franchesca was not there, I said "ohhh earth eats me now"....

Then like magic she appeared, we were like at the end, she saw us and come to kiss us, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I said dont come go to sit in front come on ¡¡¡¡

Finally, everything was cool, they graduated, we took pics and I came back home, changed clothes and went to the party...

Anyaway, cogratulations Franchesca and Cristina, I love you so much, I am so proud of you really....

Christmas in Tamarindo Foundation

Every year, one of the best Lcs in Ecuador, LC Guayaquil (my LC), We celebrate Christmas in one foundation where AIESEC gives service, it means where our internst worked.

This time, we selected "Tamarindo" foundation situated one hour and a half from my city, there waiting for us 150 children...

As always, my LC prepared everything. they called companies to give presents and donations, we got food, toys and many things...

The day was really amazing, we left University in our bus, singing and dancig, then we arrived to the place, we had to cross the river, you can ask, the river?, yes the river and we passed with everything and the bus too, it was really funny the way we passed, it was not dangerious but little scared cause of the bus, it was like special tranport for car and buses, finally we did it, we are AIESECers...

In the place, It was really amazing, we played, danced, took pics, ate and gave toys to the children, it was a good day for us to remember this special time for us...

See ya next time...

My Dad´s birthday

Well as you noticed December is crazy about parties, yes last 14th December was my dad´s birthday too...I did everything to be with him and I did it....My mum and I prepared special food for him, his favority food, difficult really hehehehe...

Most of my family came to my house and we spent a very good time together, He is 65 years old now, really I can´t notice cause He looks like 45 or less...
All his brothers drank vodka to celebrate in total they are 11 between brothers and sisters...my God, I don´t know, maybe cause there was not television before hehehehe. I had to drive like 5 cars to take every familly to their house hehehehe but I really liked a lot...

I love you dad, thanks for being my support in everyhing in goods and bads, any time, you are my number one...

Thanks for being my dad :)

Julio Reloaded

Seven years ago, my little cousin Julio was born, It was like my parents had another child. Cause of migration, my uncle went to Spain to work, so my parents decided he will live with us...

Well, what can I say about him?...He is a devil, an intruder in my room, he likes to destroy almost everything heheeheh....he called me little brother (ñaño)....you know, I am the only one, I dont have brothers and sisters, my sister died 15 years ago, anyway I fell special and loved when he calls me like that...

Seven years later, this little person is special, he is funny, doesnt matter if he wants to destroy my room, I like to spent time with him, go to cinema, to the stadium, take ice scream and talk sometimes about girls....sometimes He has good ideas about the topic....
So, Happy birthday my little borther Julio, good he is learning to use the computer at schools...

Finally, please if you have any brother, say the true, say that Spiderman, Superman and Batman are not true cause if you don´t do it, they will suffer the same situation that happened to him hehehehehehe...

Happy happy Birthday, I am so proud of you Julicito...

Strange Feelings

Some weeks ago, it was my grandma´s birhtday, unfortunately I couldn´t go cause I had AIESEC work, what I know is that most of the people asked for me about why I was not in the party, I really felt bad cause is the first time I didnt go to my grandma´s birthday, but like some day ago I realized something which makes me fell worse than before.

I went to visit her with my dad and, I noticed she forgot about me, I was in shock but then I realized it was not just me, even my dad and most of my cousins and uncles which mean that she is losing memory everytime. Sometimes she remember, sometimes not....

I was talking with her about her and she remember exactly the date she was born... 1914, and inmediately she started like tell me all her life...
Then, she started to sing, yes...to sing, it was the first time I saw my gradma singing and if one of us do not sing with her, she asks why we do not sing...
Sometimes she becomes annoying or start crying but without reason...now she is 93 years old, she doesnt have any illness, just the memory thing...

When I was a child, my dad always took me every day to her house after school and picked me up at night, so I spent most of my childhood with her, so now is different, time has changed, I became an adult and it is like she became a child in some cases...

I am really fell afraid cause she is my only grandma now, my mum´s gradma is not anymore, she is in heaven, she left this world this year and my grandparents are not too...

Next year, my life will change for sure cause I will go for my intership, so I decided to visite her more cause I dont want she forget about me and I want to spend more time with her cause I think if I dont do it, I will regret the time I didn´t spent with her...

I love you grandma :)

Brasil Finally

After to much adventures, we arrived to Brasil, nice country and with a very diversity in culture and people. We entered to Brasil for Foz de Iguazo, a spectacular viewer in Brasil, you cant imagine it...

Thanks God we found a brasilian girl who knows the route to Vitoria, the place where Expros was...after thousends of hours by bus we finally got the conference, three days late but ecuadorian delegation was the most "Farrera" in the event and all gelegates called us the survivers hehehehe...
The congress ended and spent four days more, imagine in one appartment 20 ecuadorians, I remember I was sleeping in the balcony with Franchesca, Gina, Ivan and more people, when we went to find a disco and I came back drunk and I didn´t remember how I got the appartment hehehe (I was not the only one)..I was looking wester Union and I realized there is not in brasil, so I had to go to Banco du Brasil to take the money, the girls we found with Ivan in one mall and so on...

Latin Trip (Argentina)

After to arrive to Argentina we passed one city called Calama in Chile, my God the coldest city in Chile, everybody had to take me in their arms cause I was dressing just short and t-shirt...thanks :(

Finally, we got to one beautiful place called Salta, a cultural place in Argentina, where you can practice extremme sports like in Ecuador, sure we did not have time for it.....what happened at the begining as that all the ecuadorians girls felt in love wit hthe argentinians guys hehehe...

What I remember the most was our last party cause next year we would take next bus to Foz de Iguazu in brasil...so we were drinking a lot but all of us went to sleep but one, I cant say her name hehehehe.....I woke up like 6 am in the morning to check my mail and I saw my friend talking with one argentian guy, so I continued, then later she was already talking with him in his legs....then the same scene but kissing, so I said ok we leave today, is not important...

I continued, so I saw again and both of them were not there..oh my god I was scared, I run to wake up all people to look at her, all of us were so nervious and think they were like you know doing you know what....finally we found them sleeping in one dormitory...

After those situations we took our bus to Brasil....

Latin Trip (around Chile)

In Chile was really different, we sent one day there in one place called Arica, we went to the beach, so cold my God...but it happened some strange things..like always...

I was talking with Franchesca around the city and we wanted to pass one big street and in Ecuador if you wanna pass you must be very carefully, so when we tried to pass all cars stoped, yesssssssssss all cars and they said "pass please" my god we felt like what happended here....

Next we were looking for a bottle of water, I asked one person in the street and he went with us like 5 blocks, we got the water and he said do you need anythng else? I said not thanks and he said really do you need? I said not sir thanks and he continued, so I became annoying cause so much kindness...

In the beach, until now I dont know why a dog followed my firned Hector for all the beach, really strange and it was like the dog took care of us, I think he smelled badly hehehe........

the cultural shock was when Ivan asked in the terminal the bus to continue to Argentina and they said that next "flight" leaves soon, so he came to us and said: Guys we can take a plane to Brasil, all of us were happy and I came back with him to buy the tickets and we realized that in Chile when you want to take a bus the called to take a "flight".......can you imagine?

Latin Trip (Chile)

In the morning we got a big bus to Chile, I got the site with the driver cause there was not space in the bus and it was the last tickect, so my problems started that day....the good thing I talked a lot about Peru and Chile with the driver, about history and thier war for the territory...

In the frontier between Peru and Chile, everybody was so excited cause we did not expecting to arrive to Chile (it was not the plan at the begining) so I took my camera and sterted to take pics to my friends crossing the frontier, so I did it and come back to the car and like tem mt one police stoped the car and asked me to descended the car....

His argument was that it was not allowed to take pics there, so I did not see any poster about it, anyway one person from the frontier and one police approached to me and told me that it was wrong and I had to go to jail in that moment, I dont know how was my face, I was in the frontier without any ecuadorian police to safe me...

Finally, one person called the police to his mobile, I think something most important that my problem and he left and the person from migration did not know what to do and I said sorry but you are not a police, so I have to arrive to Chile, car was waiting for me and I left as faster I could...all my friends were really scared...

Everything just because to take a picture....my God

Latin Trip

As the movie Euro trip, we had our latin one and according to Scotty doesnt know, I can say our parents dont know until now the details, but you know, two years later you will know about our trip and a good resume with the most important part about our trip to south america, I hope you enjoy a lot...

It was one time, in March 2005, some crazy AIESECers from Ecuador decided to go to Expros in Brasil by bus, at the end you will realize if it was a good option to go by bus and not by plane, even we did not have anough money for going by plane hehehe...

We decided to leave Ecuador one day in the morning, so early to get the frontier early and arrive to Peru, our trip has already started....we were so excited cause it was the first time we were to cross our frontier to another country, so first scale Lima city in Peru....so we got two important news there...we just arrive to Lima in MC elections and in newspapers said that people could not cross around Bolivia cause there was a strike...so we did not care about the first news.....it was really our first conflict as delegation, some of us wanted to go around Chile and some of us wanted to cross around Bolivia, doesnt matter the national and dangerious strike and we ried to analized possible routes and so on, after a huge discussion, we finally decided to go to Chile ;)

Latin Trip...to be continue...

Expros in Brasil is back to my mind

My first international experience in AIESEC was Expros in Brasil, it was really a great experience, not just talking about the conference, I talk about what we did before and after it, it came to my mind cause my best friends remember about too...

So, how to forget that trip to Brasil by bus and around south america with my best friends....Ivan, Franchesca, Xiomara, Pity, la Negra, Gina, Alejandro, Carlitos, Hector and of course me ;)

Do not worry, I will resume the trip...

My life after IC

Some things have changed after IC but the most important things is that I am still in communications with my friends from IC, I know how to use facebook in a very good way finally, I will present my thesis soon and I will see exactly the date of my graduation...

Not so good was I got sick but I am ok now, thanks for all mails from my friends very nice of you, I think I am better than before, I have a new car so I am driving around Manhathan, I have met new people and new friends, my cat is pregnant (again), and I have most contact with people who joined to AIESEC at the same time like me, I hope to get my EP number in january to apply for my intership next year...

It is time to focus in new priorities in life cause my personal goal setting really changed, my expectations were re-organized, some things that I expected to do next year changed. That´s why I realized that sometimes everything you wanted sometimes is not possible and you must be carefully of it and always to be ready to learn about that experience and get over it...cause
life continues...

Friends that I never forget

The most amazing part in life is when you met new people and you can consider them as your friends and you realized that worlds is small cause you know that you will see them again, so thanks to all my friends I make at IC, thank you for your friendship, pics and support, you will be always in my heart...

Thanks, Sebastian, Octavio, Mauricio, Victor, Hildur, Asya, Aika, Rita, Yana, Tatiana, Pietro, Joao, Marina, Anna, Sandy, Andreea, Chama...

I miss all of you...

After IC

It was very sad when IC ended cause you want to stay more time but it is impossible cause you must come back to your country and continue working but the good thing was that my flight to Ecuador was four days later...

Thanks to our friends, we continued visiting the places we did not know yet and we found a really great place in one jetty in Istanbul.

This place was different cause sure you can dance and drink but the different was you could dance salsa and reggeton, my God I felt like to be in latin america, it was a very nice friend, sure it was my last night in Istanbul, very beautiful day, imagine many latins in that bar, people saw us strange hehehe...

Memories from IC in Turkey

As I said before the most important thing is the memory I have from my IC in Turkey and how it contributed to my AIESEC experience...

How to forget when I arrived to the airport and the police did not know that ecuadorians do not need vise to enter to turkey (like one houre there), when I arrived late to MCPs meeting, how I always went to CC to ask whatever thing that I need, the days I met some people and next day I did not remember their name and they remembered mine.

How forget the really crazy parties and the beautiful girls, the drink which was like 80% of alcohol, the way that some people inside of the place talked to me in turkish (they thought I was turkish), the food that I really did not like sometimes, the global plenary like ten hours there, they day when Gabriela talked with all MCPs cause guards found one MCP make sex with a girl in one faculty and they menaced to let us out of the place, the latin party when most of the europeans girls wanted to danced with us salsa and reggeton (never happends here), the roll calls, gossips (I was involve in some of them)...

The way how to get my dormitory which was really far away and sometimes I did not remember how to get it, when I tried to speak in russian and I realized I could not (but I have my book now), when I was drunk and I went to girls place and thoutgh it was boys one, when the guards (girls) of the girls place invited me to eat with them cause I was just latin and funny, when I spent teaching spanish to some guards in my free time.

When I lost my key and I could not enter to my room, when I wanted to clean my clothes and any CC was there to traslate what I wanted to say to guards, when I sold the ecuadorian towels and when I called to India :) and much more...

IC Life

What I can say about IC experience is that was great, a lot of interesting meeting, knowing new and interesting people, to know directly AI team and global partners and to know about new stratefies and so on...

One important part of IC was interaction with people from all over the world, of course it was difficult to talk with all of them, everyday was like to know a new person and to have a new friend but the most important is the memory you have inside of you...

I really enjoyed everything, for me was an excellent event that I really recomend to all members in AIESEC to apply, the only way is to know and discover more is to be part of IC...
